How to Join in Five Steps

Pay Annually or Monthly

Annual payment is one transaction at the start of the year. Monthly payment splits the fee into twelve smaller direct debits. Either way your membership covers the full year from October to September.

When does the membership year run?

Our membership year runs from October to September. If you join part way through the year the fee is the same for the full year.

Can I get a refund if my child does not want to continue?

We are a charity and fees are non-refundable, but if there is a genuine reason please get in touch and we will do our best to help. Email us at secretarygslsc@gmail.com.

What is the SLSGB fee?

A small additional fee paid to Surf Life Saving GB covering national insurance, safeguarding, and governance. It is approximately £25 per person per year and is added automatically at checkout alongside the club membership fee.

Do parent helpers pay a membership fee?

No. Parent helpers volunteer their time and are not charged a membership fee. If you would like to become a regular volunteer please see our Volunteer with Us page.

Can I try before I commit to membership?

Yes. We offer one free trial session for new members before you commit. Visit the relevant age tier page and fill in the trial session form to book your place.

Is there a family discount?

Yes. The Family tier covers two adults and up to three children at a discounted combined rate compared to buying individual memberships. One adult must be the primary contact for the family account.
